Dear Australian road advisor,

I would like to address this letter to you to create two new laws to
make roads safer. One would be to have a path next to every major
highway for both pedestrians and cyclists. The other would be to
ensure that all signs and stoplights are all in good condition and
working.
Having to bike or walk along the highway or a major road is very
dangerous. A large truck could come and easily knock you off your
balance. You could then fall over and get run over. That could be
serious. If your tire pops on a bike and lose control, you will slide
onto the road where traffic precautions have to be taken. This is
serious and has to be resolved. One way is to build a path next to
the highway or major road at least 1.85m away from the road. If you
fall then you fall next to the road and have time me to get up.
The second issue is about the lack of fixed road signs and stoplights.
A broken stoplight could lead to collisions with vehicles and or
pedestrians. Damaged road signs could not be applicable and could
put drivers in risk. If a stop sign was taken away then the driver
might not stop and collide into another car or face charges from the
police. This could also lead to injuries with pedestrians .A nonworking stop and go sign could lead to pedestrians crossing the road
at dangerous times. All Damaged signs or traffic lights should be
alerted to the police.
I take it that this issue will be addressed properly and be dealt with
efficiently and effectively to stop the harm to both pedestrians and
drivers.
Yours sincerely
Balint
