This work is an attempt to identify Scheria, as Homer described it in his scripts.

A study of these scripts can draw out the necessary information to successfully map
the location of the land of the Phaeacians. To facilitate the work, the information has
been divided into four categories: the origin of Phaeacians, their ships, geographical,
agronomical and topographic data of its location and the divine intervention. Each of
the categories has been analysed separately.
An analysis of the collected data provides some possibilities for the location of
Scheria. One possibility is that located on Corfu, as argued by several scholars,
including Dorpfeld (1911), Bulle (1930), Marino (1955), Sakellariou-Mane (1955)
and. The investigations and excavations there however, did not bring about the
expected results, so Corfu can be excluded as a probalility.
The other possibility as argued by Depos (1980), Petrides (2005)
Papamarinopoulos (2008), Tziropoulou (2008) and Khne (2008), is that Scheria is
located at the current Tartessos. This assumption is the most likely as it reflects most
of the elements mentioned by Homer in his descriptions. Archaeological excavations
have not yet brought anything to light; however it's still early, as the excavations only
began in 2009 by the Spanish archaeological service.
The above leads to conclude that Scheria, the place of Phaeacians, is possible
the region of prehistoric Tartessos.
