Abscesses in the oral cavity is a pathologic cavity containing pus caused by a bacterial

infection mixture . The incidence of periapical abscesses are more common in children ,
namely 50 % of children aged 9 years and 80 % at ages under 17 years . Based on data
from clinical care in acute periapical abscess dentists have a percentage of about 2-6 % ,
the prevalence of chronic periapical abscess 5-46 % . Increased incidence in people
whose quality of life is low and often occurs in children , there is no difference in the
incidence of periapical abscess between men and women
