LABORATORY REQUIREMENTS

I. Preliminary Report (To be submitted after performing the experiment) 50 %


Expected contents of the preliminary report/group report:
Title Page
Preliminary Data Sheet
1. A tabulated form of the data gathered prepared 1 sheet per table (refer
to the format of the tables from the individual data sheet).
2. Below each table, provide an analysis/interpretation of the data
gathered in a particular part of the experiment which be done in
bulleted form.
3. Show complete computations used in filling out the table.
Answer to Guide and Questions
Graph/s (if any) with interpretation.
Criteria for Grading:

II. INDIVIDUAL REPORT

Individual report must contain the following parts:
A. Properly Accomplished Title Page
B. Properly Accomplished and Signed Data Sheet
C. Sample Computations
Show computation for at least 1 trial for every part of the experiment which
includes the computation for average value, % of error or % of difference.
D. Summary: Give a summary of the experiment which contains the following:

(First Paragraph) Briefly describe what was done in the lab


but not step by step as in a procedure.

(Second Paragraph) Give basic scientific theory, principles or


concepts used. You can include all the quantities that have
been measured or determined as well as the equations used.

(Third Paragraph) Explain how a theory / concept were put to


use or how it was tested or applied in the lab.
D. Conclusions
This part is a closing that describes the overall success of the experiment.
(First Paragraph)
Discuss whether or not the objectives were achieved. (Refer to the Objectives
section.)
(Second Paragraph)
Describe how your understanding of the theory has been improved after
performing the experiment. Include in your discussion some practical
applications of the concepts used in the experiment.
(Third Paragraph) Select a particular situation from the one mentioned in the
second paragraph and give insights how a particular theory or concept in the
experiment was applied.
