While friends and family celebrated President Jacob Zuma’s wedding in Nkandla on

Monday, one key person seemed to have been absent.

Zuma’s first wife Sizakele Khumalo attended the festivities; however, it was unclear
if the youngest wife Nompumelelo Ntuli attended proceedings.

Zuma married Durban socialite Thobeka Madiba in a traditional Zulu wedding

ceremony at his homestead in KwaZulu Natal.

It was not clear whether Ntuli was present at the private wedding at the house, from
which members of the media were barred but she did not participate in the public
presentation ceremony.

The majority of the traditional event took place in the privacy of Zuma’s home at
Nkandla.

Thereafter the couple was presented to the community at large as husband and wife,
as part of the traditional wedding ritual. Both bride and groom were fully clad in Zulu
attire.

This was followed by a lavish dinner and extravagant reception with a live band for
entertainment near the Nkandla High School.
