We Might Marvel at The Progress Made in Every Field of Study
We might marvel at the progress made in every field of study, but the methods of testing
a man's knowledge and ability remains as primitive as ever they were. It really is
extraordinary that after all these years' revolution, educationists have still failed to devise
anything more efficient and reliable than examinations.
Topic 17: Animals bring humans a lot of benefits. What are the
benefits? Explain and give examples:
Topic 2 What could be the good and the bad things about
country life in Vietnam?
* GOOD THINGS:
Vietnam life in the countryside is very peaceful and calm. In the
country, people are woken up by the singing of the birds rather than
by the noise from the traffic. Homes are surrounded by bamboohedged villages and beautiful patchworks of green paddies. Besides,
the image of hard-working farmers in their conical hats or water
buffaloes on the farm has made warm and cozy feelings in here.
In the Vietnam country, village relationships are clearly shown.
Everyone knows everyone and knows everything about everyone.
Communities are small but they are connected and open. Vietnamese
villagers live closely and prepare to help their neighborhoods
whenever they need without asking anything in return.
Due to virtual absence of cars and factories, it is obviously that
people will not be inhaling any potentially toxic fumes in the country.
Clean air is without a doubt one of the main advantages of country life
in Vietnam.
The slow pace of life also help people takes away a great deal of
stress and be able to enjoy simple things in life.
* BAD THING:
Life country in Vietnam is really difficult and needy .Agriculture is
the main activity in the rural areas, so Vietnamese farmers life is
extremely hard. They must wake up before the sun comes up and work
hard on the farm but their income is very low.
Life country in Vietnam is inconvenient and lack of many things.
+ Lack of educational and job opportunities: Villagers usually
earn their living from farming, raising livestock and making handicrafts.
Thus, once the natural disasters suddenly happen and farmers lose
their land, the unemployed situation becomes increasingly popular. On
the other hand, there are very few schools in rural areas and students
have to pass kilometers to go to school. In some remote areas,
because of the low level of education, some people force their children
to stay at home, work on farm and give up studying early
+ Lack of health-care services: There are very few doctors,
hospitals and clinics in here. In addition, medical centers in country
communities typically lack specialty care and treatment facilities. The
distance between homes and the closest town is also an issue.
+ In the countryside, there are not many shopping centers and
boutiques. People have to go miles to buy the food they need.
Transportation system is rudimentary and undeveloped. Recreational
activities seem not to approach to rural areas. Children have not much
chance to play in amusement parks or leisure centers. The roads have
not been extended and developed.
