NSIS Letter of Recommendation Daniel Xavier This letter is written as to the performance and abilities of Daniel Xavier completing his large internship at Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort. Daniel spent the better part of the 2015, summer at the resort completing his college degree in Parks Recreation and ‘Tourism from the University of Utah. Daniel was a great addition to our staff. Daniel excelled in both customer service and resort management organizational skills. While employed, Daniel has the ability to see what is needed and then take it upon himself to roll up his sleeves and complete the work. His desire for cohesiveness and to understand the tasks at hand is enjoyable to watch. Many employees require a considerable amount of supervision to adequately complete the various work assignments. Daniel however does not. The problems or goals are stated, time lines reviewed and away he goes. I never have had to worry about him and what he is involved with. The completion of the work has always been first rate and accomplished in a timely manner. Daniel utilizes daily his ability to communicate and direct. Our high customer service record with Tripadvisor has been maintained with a four star Certificate of Excellence due to Daniel and his abilities to organize and problem solve. His enthusiasm and enjoyment for interacting with our visiting guests arriving and departing was impressive. Daniel understands the value of customer service and how to apply these principles in his daily interactions with others. have supervised many interns throughout the years in resort management. He always arrived on time and presented a tremendous attitude. Daniel is one of the best and should take great pride in what he has accomplished. As Zion Ponderosa Resort has steadily grown throughout its 15 year existence, one area that recently has shown a very high profitability for our guests visiting the resort is tent camping. Profitability has increased dramatically over 500% with this offered service. Daniel was one of the main contributors to experiencing this record year in this department. His abilities to work without supervision and problem solve as well as create new ideas for expansion of this department has been invaluable. One guest wrote; “Just wanted to say thank you for all your help, your kindness and great service! I'm happy to choose to stay here at Zion Ponderosa! Daniel was super helpful!” Daniel brings with him an enthusiasm for success. He enjoyed receiving difficult jobs that required thought and planning. His input was valuable, sense of direction, keen and ‘motivation unmatched. It was enjoyable to see him grow and gain confidence in his abilities and communication. Personally working with Daniel and knowing these desires and qualities, he will rise to those demands given him and succeed. His passion for excellence and knowledge is foremost and will stand strong along his side.
