Thank you SO MUCH for all the

volunteer forms that came back to
me. I am so happy to have moms and dads
offering to help with our yearbook page, our
Scholastic Books, Project Cornerstone, and class
parties. Right now, it looks like we are covered for
the main classroom jobs except for Room Mom
(coordinates 3 class parties.) Please let me know if
you are willing to do this. 33 fourth graders will be
extremely happy! Also, thank you for filling out the
Fingerprint/TB Test update at Back to School
Night. Not everyone had a chance to get to the
clipboard so I will be checking with the office to
see if your fingerprinting/TB tests are up to date.
You could also drop me a quick email to let me
know. I know this is an inconvenience, and I want
to say a big thank you! I appreciate your help very
much! As I get this information, I will send you
personal emails to confirm your chosen
contribution to our classroom.

Island of the Blue Dolphins

Word Power!

We finished our first practice week! This week

each table group will share a word. This will
make it easier to collaborate. This time your grade
will actually count!
We are still doing this only at school so it will
NOT impact homework in any way. Hooray!

sure to check it out. Also, it really helps to read the
book along with your child.

Reading Lotto

Your first Reading Lotto/Rate the

Book is due this Friday.
The Rate the Book form and the
Reading Lotto form is available
in the classroom. Both forms
are also available to download on our classroom
website. Make sure to get a parent signature on the
Reading Lotto form.
