Born 1867 in Pennsylvania as Harry Longabaugh
Harry ran away from home at age 15 and traveled west
with his cousin, George
The Sundance Kid received his nickname when he stole
a horse in Sundance, WY

Participation in the Wild Bunch

First met Butch Cassidy 1892
The Sundance Kid was Butch Cassidy's unofficial
sidekick
The Wild Bunch traveled all over the Western United
States robbing trains and banks

Later years in the Wild Bunch

Before long, the Wild Bunch decided to go to South
America to escape the Pinkertons
Butch Cassidy, The Sundance Kid, and Etta Place went to
Argentina and Bolivia
Butch Cassidy and The Sundance kid may have died in
Bolivia
Met Etta Place; she joined their group

Confusion of death
There is a lot of confusion of where Butch
Cassidy and the Sundance kid died. Some
think they died in Bolivia, others think they died
in Utah, Wyoming, Washington, Colorado, or
other places.

Etta Place is often thought of as a

woman named Ann Bassett after she
disappeared in South America.

Some historians think that the

Sundance kid moved in Duchesne,
Utah and changed his name to
William Henry Long.
