New York, NYSeptember 9, 2015The CLIO Awards, the esteemed international
advertising, design and communications competition, today announced its 2015 Lifetime
Achievement Award recipient. DDB Chairman Emeritus Keith Reinhard, will accept this years
prestigious honor on September 30 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York
City. Matthew Weiner, director, producer, writer and creator of AMCs Mad Men, will present the
award to Reinhard.
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes a creative with unparalleled accomplishments and
contributions to the world of advertising. As a working creative director, Reinhard was
responsible for recognizable spots for McDonalds and State Farm, and led teams creating
award-winning campaigns for Anheuser-Busch, Volkswagen, PepsiCo and others.
Keiths legacy is one that not only includes iconic spots in advertising, but groundbreaking work
in shaping the creative industry as we know it today, said Nicole Purcell, president, CLIO. His
willingness to shake things up makes him a true pioneer and showcases a career we all want to
emulate.
In 1986 Reinhard was one of the architects of the advertising industrys first and only three-way
merger, creating Omnicom, which today ranks as one of the worlds largest advertising and
marketing services holding company. Concurrent with the creation of Omnicom, Reinhard
accomplished the merger of Doyle Dane Bernbach and Needham Harper Worldwide to create
DDB Worldwide, the agency he served as CEO for 16 years and which ranks among the worlds
largest and most creative advertising networks with 200 offices in 90 countries.
Many of the media and compensation concepts first enunciated by Reinhard are now common
practice in the industry. He was inducted into the Advertising Hall of Fame in 2007.
Because the CLIO Awards play such a key role in the industry I love, I feel especially honored
by this recognition, said Reinhard. And I am blessed to have been involved for a lifetime in the

improving the standing of America in the world. He contributes generously of his time and
