Romantic Ruffle Scarf

Yarn. We used Bouton D'or, Songe, but any yarn that will give you a gauge of about 24 to 26 sts. Per 4''.
You will need 2 skeins or about 350 yards of yarn.
Needles. Size 5 or 6, 32'' to 40'' long depending on your gauge.
Size. 3 '' wide and about 40'' long.
Instructions. With a double strand of yarn, use a cable cast on of 80 sts. Cut one strand,

it does not matter which one and leave a tail about 10'' long to be woven in later. You
will now continue on with the strand still connected to your working skein of yarn.
Row 1. Knit1, Purl 1.
Row 2. Purl 1, Knit 1.
Row 3. Knit into the front and back of each st. You will now have 160 sts.
Row 4. Purl.
Row 5. Knit.
Row 6. Purl.
Row 7. Knit.
Row 8. Purl.
Row 9. Knit into the front and back of each st. You will now have 320 sts.
Row 10. Purl.
Row 11. Knit.
Row 12. Purl.
Row 13. Knit.
Row 14. Purl.
Row. 15. Knit into the front and back of each st. You will now have 640 sts.
Row 16. Purl.
Row 17. Knit.
Row 18. Purl.
Row 19. Knit.
Row 20. Purl.
Row 21. Knit into the front and back of each st. You will now have 1280 sts.
Row 22. Purl.
Row 23. Knit.
Row 24. Purl.
Row 25. Knit.
Row 26. Purl.
Row 27. Knit.
Row 28. Purl.
Row 29. Cast of in a knit fashion. Weave in tails and lightly steam if needed.
We Put a small button about a third of the way into the scarf on the flat beginning edge. This way you
can button the scarf closed for a really classy look.
