SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE

System architecture is the conceptual model that defines the structure, behavior,
and more views of a system. An architecture description is a formal description
and representation of a system, organized in a way that supports reasoning
about the structures of the system.

Figure 1 above shows overall system architecture for BiotechCorp HR

System. It consists of Three (3) unit of servers with two (2) Virtual server
each and 1 (one) SAN Storage. Detail description suggested servers as
below:-

The proposed architecture is high availability mode, in the case of web

application servers, it will be load balance using existing load balancer

infrastructure at Data Centre. As for Database, it will be setup in cluster

mode and connected to existing SAN storage infrastructure.
Web Application servers will be resided in DMZ Zone, while Database
servers and Integration Server to be resided in Secured Zone for security
purpose.
Add on security, it is recommended all these servers to be protected using
Web Application Firewall.
For secure web access, it is recommended to use digital SSL certificate
with 256bit encryption.
