Setup FSMOUNT:

For execution in FSMOUNT context KM requires a folder(e.g. odiagentbox) that


is accessible from the SAP system and the ODI Agent. This is typically done by
sharing a folder of the ODI Agent machine with SAP Systems. This folder is to
transfer data files and other KM files (log, ctl and out files) generated during the
extraction process. This is called FSMOUNT. The user needs ask its SAP BASIS
team to mount the required folder to the required SAP system. To configure
FSMOUNT in ODI please follow the steps given below:
Set Up the Topology:
1. Connect to Topology Manager
2. In the bottom panel you will find context tab .Click there.

3. Global is the default context created ( as shown in the above window).


To create a new context right click on context tab and select new
context .
4. As you click on Insert Context button given pop will appear .

5. Fill the details (Name :FSMOUNT context ) as mentioned .It will create FSMOUNT
context.
6. Click Ok to save the context.
7. In the Physical Architecture , right click on the File technology and select the
option new Data Server for it, a window as shown below appears:

Fill the credentials (only Name is to be filled here ) and click OK .

Note Before moving to next step please confirm that a shared folder with a name
(e.g. odiagentbox) is created in a drive of the server where ODI is installed .As
odiagentbox folder is the one in which SAP will store its text file after executing
the ABAP program.
You can give any name to folder within standards

Right Click File >> Insert Data Server, the below window will appear . Fill the
credentials and click OK
8. Under the given server name File Server For SAP ABAP (FSMOUNT) Right Click File

>> select New Physical Schema and a window will appear for which fill up the
credentials as shown below:
Directory Schema set the shared drive location where the files will get created [IP
address and folder name(e.g. \\10.30.0.164\odiagentbox\)]
Work Schema -- set the local location of the mounted folder (e.g. C:\odiagentbox\).

9. Click the Context tab a window as shown below will appear.

10. Under this add a context and select FSMOUNT in the dropdown option, now map
this FSMOUNT context with Logical Schema File Server For SAP ABAP and click
Ok tab to save this schema.
