Float Bowl Level Sensor

Bowl Gaskets

Mounting Screw
12-24 x 4 1/8”

Mount the float bowl level sensor in one of the bottom float bowl mounting screw holes
using the enclosed mounting screw and two float bowl screw gaskets. Insure the Bowl
gasket ID is a loose fit around the mounting screw. See above figure for details.

Supply an input supply voltage between 8 and 30VDC to the red and black wires as
shown in the figure. Attach the Green and Black output wires to a data acquisition or data
logging system as shown in the figure.

Depending on the density of fuel you use the voltage output will vary.

Typical output voltages are as follows:

When the float bowl is Empty Vout=3.500v
For fluid height in inches:
Height in inches=(.166*(Output Voltage)-.581)/Density
For Density, Gasoline is typically .0268 lbs/in^3

For every 0.10 Inch of H20 Vacuum there will be a 0.247 volt
drop below 3.500v. Example: If the bowl was at .50 Inches of
H2O Vacuum the output voltage would read 2.27 volts
