The question that is the basis for my research is as follows:

What is the likelihood of Ovarian Cancer being hereditary and other forms of cancer
being passed to descendants?
The five Qualitative interview questions that propose pertaining to my research on the above
mentioned question on Ovarian Cancer are listed below:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

What are the chances that I have the BRCA1 or BRCA2 genes and what if I do?
What are the treatment options for ovarian cancer?
What are the symptoms of ovarian cancer?
What causes ovarian cancer?
What is the typical age group that is affected by this type of cancer?

These five questions are all open-ended which produce Qualitative data results when answered
as opposed to closed-ended, multiple choice, or yes/no questions that yield Quantitative data
results. These questions are more geared towards fact finding of details than just numbers for
statistical reasons. These questions are just the beginning of a whole line of questioning that
would probe for more information, the questions above are mainly to gather the basic
information about Ovarian Cancer.
