Inspected the site of Power house where the taken place. As observed
from the daily progress reports of last three months i.e Oct 2014, Nov 2014
and Dec 2014. The Quantity of excavation is around 10,000 cum per day
only. The existing machinery is found insufficient to meet the targets as per
approved mile stone programme. The Executive Engineer ISHW Division 6,
Purushothapatnam has reported that 7Nos of excavators, 40Nos of
dumpers, 3Nos of drilling units required for excavation are only available
at site at present. Unless there machinery is increased 3 times the mile
stone target of around 30,000cum/day cannot be realized.
The contractors representative Sri, K.Thirumalesh (DVP) has informed
that additional machinery will be arranged by 20 of January 2015 to facilitate
excavation in hard rock 20,000 cum per day and excavation in all soils of
10,000 cum per day
Diversion road to Gandi Pochamma Temple (R4 and part of R2) starting
from flood Bank along the tail race channel up to Gandi Pochamma Temple is
to be finalized and proposals are to be submitted by 20/01/2015.
Formation of Tail race channel embankment shall be taken up
simultaneously alongside excavation.
All excavation in power house area is to be completed by Sept-2015
and approach channel and tail race channel by Dec -2015.

The agency has to arrange to conduct 2D & 3D model studies at

CWPRS Pune at the earliest
The contractor is instructed to pursue the approval of the design and
drawing of Earth Dam in GAP- 1 section which is at CWC New Delhi.
