The Sui gas field is the biggest natural gas field in the
pakistan. It is located near Sui in Baluchistan. The gas field
was discovered in the late 1952 and the commercial
exploitation of the field began in 1955. The Sui gas field
accounts for 26% of Pakistans gas production.

SSGC
SSGCL transmission system extends from Sui in
Balochistan to Karachi in Sindh comprising over 3,220
KM of high pressure pipeline ranging from 12 24 in
diameter. The distribution activities covering over 1200
towns in the Sindh and Balochistan are organized
through its regional offices. An average of about
388,828 million cubic feet (MMCFD) gas was sold in
2009-2010 to over 2.5 million industrial, commercial
and domestic consumers in these regions through a
distribution network of over 37,000 Km. The company
also owns and operates the only gas meter
manufacturing plant in the country, having an annual
production capacity of over 750,000 meters.

SNGPL
SNGPL transmission system extends from Sui in
Baluchistan to Peshawar in Khyber Pakhtoon Khwa
(KPK) comprising over 7,733 KM of Transmission
System (Main lines & Loop lines). The distribution
activities covering 2,650 main towns along with
adjoining villages in Punjab & Khyber Pakhtoon Khwa
are organized through 13 regional offices. Distribution
system consists of 94,263 KM of pipeline. SNGPL has
4,585,371 consumers comprising Commercial,
Domestic, General Industry, Fertilizer, and Power &
Cement Sectors. Annual gas sales to the consumers
were 597,056 MMCF worth Rs. 216,652 million during
Jul 2011 - Jun 2012
