Digital media:
Digital media refers to audio, video, and photo content that have been encoded
(digitally compressed). Encoding content involves converting audio and video input
into a digital media file such as a Windows Media file. After digital media is encoded, it
can be easily manipulated, distributed, and rendered (played) by computers, and is easily
transmitted over computer networks.
Examples of digital media types include: Windows Media Audio (WMA), Windows
Media Video (WMV), MP3, JPEG, and AVI

Analogue technology:
Analogue devices rely on an electronic signal that varies in frequency and/or intensity in
order to encode/decode information. Digital devices rely on digital signals that can be thought
of as a whole lot of on/off switches in order to convey information.

Media platform:
Anything that gives the news a raised base to be seen e.g. local news websites, local
newspapers, teletext, magazines

Passive viewing:
Passive is the opposite of active. Passive means he is contended and no energy for further
adventures.
Passive could also mean sitting and Watching,

Technological convergence:
Technological convergence is the tendency that as technology changes, different
technological systems sometimes evolve toward performing similar task e.g. .television sets
will increasingly resemble televisions; both will be used to download moving images from the
internet and eventually the distinction between the separate techs are likely to be erased
