A narrative is an essay about a specific occurrence or event. The event


takes place not over an extended period of time, but within a day or
two, perhaps in minutes or within a few hours. It should be based on
real events, but can be fictionalized to enhance reader interest. The
essay must include sensory details, a clear sequence of action, and a
clear lesson or message for the reader.
Your narrative must:
be focused on a single
incident within a limited time frame
feature descriptive
writing/sensory details
be written using firstperson narration and include dialogue
include a lesson
learned/message to the reader in the storys
resolution
