2015 State of the Nation Address

The 2015 State of the Nation Address by President Benigno Aquino III, for me is
generally impressive, setting aside the fact that with the lengthy speech, it is but
natural to give positive reports on his administrations performance for the last
five years.
In terms of content, the president has delivered clearly his priorities and
achievements on different aspects like education, health, security, economics,
employment and governance. The effectiveness of the administration has been
shown through the increase in the number of classrooms coupled by the increase
in the number of teachers, succesful Pantawid Pamilya project, purchase of
military equipments and vehicle, increase foreign and domestic investments,
increase in employment rate and continuous battle against graft and corruption.
Although most his projects, especially in infrastructures were inherited from the
past Arroyo administration, the percentage of accomplishments presented is
significantly revealed that his administration has done way better. However, like
the past administrations, no matter how fruitful Pinoys Daang Matuwid
administrations efforts may seem to be, not everyone was pleased for not
everyone has felt the effects of what has been accomplished. Moreover, the
president failed to give satisfaction to the hotter issues of territorial dispute
between our country and China, which I think, just like me, more of our
kababayans would have wanted to hear.
Pinoy, along with his cabinet still has more to prove. The administration, for its
last year should offer more to the Filipino people, its boss. Given the fact that
Pinoy has declared his support for the next presidential candidate, DILG Sec. Mar
Roxas, the last year of his term sets higher expectations for it will be the
foundation of the next administration.
