To Whom It May Concern

It is a great pleasure for me to introduce Mohammad Hossain who has graduated in Electrical and
Electronic Engineering from the University of Technology in October 2007. He is known to me for
about five years as one of my undergraduate students at UT and also through his final year project
which he led under my supervision. Therefore I am in a position to observe him very closely.
Mohammad Hossain has a brilliant academic career. is pre-university academic records are also
excellent. In the undergraduate program, he attended my lectures on EEE4605: Electromagnetic Fields
and Waves, EEE4741: Digital Signal Processing, and EEE4805: Telecommunication Engineering. As
a direct teacher, I found Mohammad with remarkable abilities in determining solutions to and solving
complex engineering problems. He obtained a CGPA of 3.72 in a 4.00 point scale in his B.Sc.
Engineering Degree. He possesses a strong background in electrical and electronic engineering which
would enable him to reach to the heart of a challenging problem with his deep insight in analyzing it
first and formulating the possible solution through his exceptional skills and ingenuity in logical
thinking. His final year project was on Improvement of Image Compression Using Bahalul
Algorithm which he led towards successful completion as the group leader, scoring A+ grade on it.
Mohammad Hossain is very sincere and hardworking. As a person he is very polite and gentle. He is
very popular among his friends and fellow-mates. Truly speaking, he possesses an impressive
personality and has the ability to work with others in a group. Moreover, he can communicate fluently
in English, both verbally and in writing. He is worthy as an organizer. His strong determination and
leadership quality gives him the opportunity to lead a group aiming at successful completion of any
task. In summary, I am of opinion that this young man is creative, highly spirited and completely
fervent about technology.
Considering the all-around ability, I would rank him in the top 10% students of his class. I firmly
believe that he possesses the necessary potential and skill to pursue higher studies and research.
Therefore, I would strongly recommend him for admission into the graduate program at your reputable
institution. I would recommend him further for any possible financial assistance in the form of
Fellowship / Scholarship / Teaching Assistantship / Research Assistantship.
I wish him success in his every future endeavor.
