A motorist who is using any
sort of handheld device while
the vehicle is in motion, driver
eating or drinking, putting on
makeup etc.

so, not crossing at a crosswalk
or by school patrols, failing to
look both ways before
crossing the street.

Cyclists not wearing helmets,
not signaling to change lanes,
failing to dismount when
crossing an intersection, etc.
9. Changing lanes illegally &
Failing to Signal
Motorist changes lanes in a
crosswalk, on double-solid
line, or when it is unsafe to do
so. Motorist fails to signal
when leaving a parking
spot/stopped position.
10. Driver smoking in car
with children
A motorist who is smoking
inside the vehicle; where any
occupants under the age of 16
are present.
11. Improper drop-off in
parking lot
A motorist leaves car unattended
while bringing children inside

12. Unsafe drop-off


Child has to exit on wrong side of
car, has to walk into traffic. Car
is not in park or fully stopped
when child exits.

13. Turning into a bus loop


A motorist turns into a bus loop
that has signs indicating they are
not allowed to do so during
school hours.
