Dr Sanjay Sinhal is a Neonatologist and Paediatrician in Adelaide.
He has been a consultant at the Neonatal Intesive Care Unit at Flinders Medical Centre since
2009. He also consults at Flinders Private Hospital and Ashford Hospital.
Dr Sanjay Sinhal is a Neonatologist and Pediatrician certified by the Royal Australasian College
of Physicians (RACP).
Dr Sinhal has more than a decade of experience in paediatrics and neonatology from two
continents.
Dr Sinhal has a distinguished career highlighted by a number of awards and certificates of
distinction. He has undertaken six years of training in Pediatrics and Neonatal Medicine at The
Royal Womens Hospital & The Royal Childrens Hospital in Melbourne and at Princess
Margaret Hospital & King Edward Memorial Hospital in Perth. During advanced training in
neonatology, he won the Advanced Trainee Research Award of the The Royal Australasian
College of Physicians in Victoria. He has presented many research papers in national and
international conferences and has published articles in scientific medical journals.
Before moving to Australia, Dr Sinhal completed his medical training in Pune, one of the most
populous cities in the world. He graduated from Indias flagship medical institute B J Medical
College, which treats more than 0.5 million outpatient visits annually. He completed three years
Residency in Pediatrics at a major tertiary referral centre in the region, the Sassoon General
Hospitals in Pune, with Dux of year award in postgraduate clinical examination of MD
Pediatrics. At medical school, he was awarded a gold medal in Medicine at final MBBS
examination of the University of Pune (Dux of year). He then joined as a lecturer in Paediatrics
at Pune University and worked as a consultant paediatrician at Sassoon General Hospitals.

ability to choose best suitable treatment for an individual child. Dr Sinhal strives hard to keep
himself up to date with current advances in paediatric medicine.

Paediatrics at Flinders University and an examiner for Paediatricians examination of the Royal
Australasian College of Physicians.
