How the Rector stole Honor

(and how the Wahoos fought back)

Every Hoo down in Cville liked Terry a lot
But the Rector who lived in VA Beach sure did not!
She hated the Prez, with passionate ire.
She hated her more than the Rotunda fire.
Two years had gone by, with just baby-steps change;
The Rector wanted somebody to blame.
So she wrote several emails, to Kington and friends
Insisted the means were justified by the ends.
But they feared a big backlash, with riots and shouts,
So they timed it real well, after school was let out.
A sudden announcement that Terry was done
Shocked all the Wahoos, every last one.
The Cav Daily sought and obtained the real scoop,
And overnight Cville brought out the troops.
They descended en masse from all over the land
From New York, Ohio, even Japan.
Honor is ours, they shouted with pride,
You cant take it away; we wont stand aside.
Faculty, students, staff, and alums,
All stood united on the Lawn, in the sun.
They cheered and applauded through speeches and songs
Knowing the world was watching the throng.
The media buzzed with news of the town,
The alumni orgs website even went down!
Ten thousands of letters, signatures, and calls,
All urging the Board to disband the cabal.
No explanation, though one was demanded;
The Rector just knew shed been caught red-handed.
Finally some gibberish about strategic dynamism,
But between the Rector and the rest, an irreparable schism.
Restore our integrity, our honor, our trust,
Return Terry to office, indeed you needs must.
We want open dialogue, transparency, votes,
Not corporate tactics, greased with banknotes.
Theyll meet one last time, to discuss and decide,
If Mr. Jeffersons legacy here still abides.
The real question is, have they heard what we say?
Will Rector Dragas heart grow three sizes that day?
