Intentional cruelty, on the other hand, involves deliberate physical harm or
injury is inflicted on an animal. Intentional cruelty involves cases including
but not limited to animals being beaten, burned, poisoned or stabbed to
death.2
Other forms of cruelty common to dogs is Chaining or tethering. Chaining
or tethering refers to the practice of fastening a dog to a stationary object
usually in the owners backyard, and are use as means to control the
animal, and these chaining do not usually refer walking on a leash.
Continuous chaining or tethering is an act both inhumane and a threat to
the safety of the confined dog, to other animals and as well as to humans.
In addition to continuous chaining, dogs which are forced to live in
