Professional Internship, Los Angeles Office

Description of Position
Lisa Wise Consulting, Inc. (LWC) seeks a professional intern to start immediately.
Responsibilities of the position include working closely with LWC associates, senior
associates, and principals on a wide range of land use policy and economics engagements.
Optimally, the candidate will work part-time during the school year (schedule to be
determined) and full-time through the summer. This is a paid position at $15.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
Professional interns contribute to LWC projects by performing substantive tasks including
policy review, background research and data collection, drafting white papers, compiling
interview data, organizing financial analysis spreadsheets, preparing materials for public
presentations, and document management.
Professional interns also assist LWC team to identify and assess potential projects, develop
proposals, and support on-going corporate on-line presence, data, and file management.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess strong writing skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint), a desire to work in a collaborative setting, and a capacity to manage multiple
responsibilities.
LWC builds its success on new urbanist and triple bottom-line oriented precepts. Accordingly, a
strong interest in innovative approaches, such as form-based codes, mixed-use design, complete
streets, walkable neighborhoods, transit-oriented development, and equitable and feasible
access to resources, is preferred.
