TopKick/Kodiak With CAT/Duramax Engine Cabling Requirements Rev 3

DG knows of two different variants of TopKick/Kodiak diagnostic data ports. There is a J1708/J1587, and J1850 version
(older trucks) and a J1708/J1587, J1850, and GMLAN (ISO15765) version (newer trucks). Both use the common J1962
(OBDII) diagnostic connector. This cable should work on both variants. Some newer models of the TopKick have both
the OBDII/J1962 and an SAE 9-pin Deutsch, so the DPA 5 standard Y cable (6-pin/9-pin Deutsch) will work on those
variants.

TopKick/Kodiak Cable J1708/J1587, J1850 and GMLAN

This variant of diagnostic connector was found in a document for a 2009 Chevrolet Kodiak C-Series (Conventional)
C4/C5 | Kodiak, TopKick C-Series Service Manual. This version has GMLAN (ISO15765) on the standard CAN pins, and
also has J1850 and J1708/J1587.
Start with a DG-OBDII-0-CABLE (DGs open-ended J1962 cable) and then solder a DB25 Male connector according to
the following table.
