ALAN TURING
Alan Turing was
born Alan Mathiso
n Turing in a nursi

gton, London, on t
he 23rd of June, 19
12.

At a young age, he displayed signs

of high intelligence, which some of
his teachers recognized,
but didnt necessarily respect.

At the age of 13, Alan Turing

became particulary interested
in math and science.

Alan Turing appears now

as the founder of computer
science, the originator of
the dominant technology of
the late 20th century.

Alan Mathison turing was a British pioneering

computer scientist
,mathematician,logician,mathematic biologist

In
1940,Turing
broke the
German
Enigma
Code during
the second
World
War!!!!!!

ALAN TURING AND ENIGMA CODE

On 4 September 1939,
the day after the UK declared
war on Germany, Turing reported
to Bletchley Park, the wartime
station of Government Code
and Cypher School.
During World War II he was the principal man responsible for br
eaking the Enigma code used by the Germans. It is estimated th
at his bombe device shortened the war in Europe by two to four
years.

ALAN TURING HAD TO UNDERGO CHEMICAL

CASTRATION BECAUSE HE WAS GAY.
In 1952, during an investigation, Alan Turing admitted that he
had sexual relationship with Arnold Murray.Turing was convicted
and given a choice between imprisonment and probation.

IN 2009,BRITISH PM APOLOGIZED FOR

TREATING TURING UNFAIRLY DURING HIS TIME

WHETHER HE COMMITTED SUICIDE IS DEBATED

On June 8, 1954 Alan Turing was found dead by his cleaner. The cause of his death was
cyanide poisoning. A half-eaten apple was found besides his bed. Although the apple was
never tested for cyanide, Turing showed no sign of despondency before his death and se
veral people including Turings mother believe that he consumed cyanide by accident and
that it was not a case of suicide.

Sometimes it is the people who no one imagines

anything of who do the things that no one can
imagine.
