This is a mandatory meeting for parents whose children are preparing for First Reconciliation (First Confession). We
will meet in Msgr. Walsh Hall. Parents only no students.
FIRST PENANCE

This will be a joyful celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The First Reconciliation service is for the whole
family. Our theme is The Good Shepherd God loves us and every one of us and is watching over us every day. More
details at the January meeting.
FIRST COMMUNION RETREAT

Saturday, April 9, 2016

A very special day!! All of our children that are preparing to receive First Communion and their parents will come
together for an afternoon of activities, prayer and fellowship. Check-in will be at 2:30pm in Msgr. Walsh Hall. The
retreat will have its closing hour at the 5:00pm Mass. This is a mandatory event for First Communion.
FIRST COMMUNION

Practices are the week before First Communion all children are required to attend the Tuesday practice. All parents
and children are to attend the Wednesday evening practice.
First Communion is a family First Communion Mass. Parents only will sit with their child. More details will be given
at the Retreat Day.
DRESS CODE FOR FIRST COMMUNION:
GIRLS:

White veil, white short dress, white shoes, white socks or tights.
NO halters, NO spaghetti straps, NO strapless dresses.
GLOVES CANNOT BE WORN TO RECEIVE COMMUNION.

BOYS:

Dark tie, dark pants, dark shoes and socksWhite short or long sleeve shirt.
