Professional Goals

Successfully complete Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse

Practitioner Program in the spring of 2018.

Successfully pass

the ANCC certification exam summer 2018. Resources for

successful completion are provided during the curriculum and I
will follow the proposed AG-Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Program curriculum plan.

Acquire skills for central line placement and improve vascular

access by Spring 2018. Line lab in curriculum and additional
exposure through my work in a Cardiovascular Services line are
necessary resources for this goal.

Increase proficiency in reading EKGs and chest x-ray by Spring

2018. NUR 7212 EKG, and NUR 7211 Cardiac Nursing will
promote proficiency.

Utilize leadership to create effective relationships and improve

complexity leadership skills. Successful completion of NUR 7001.
Utilize present job as charge nurse to cultivate self-awareness,
seeking diverse opinions and lead by example.

Develop basic suture skills necessary for closure of wounds and

securing central lines by Spring 2018. Completion of line lab in
curriculum for AG-Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
