TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
Shield Bright 316L is an all position flux cored wire for welding type 316 stainless. It
contains molybdenum, which resists pitting corrosion induced by sulphuric and
sulphurous acids, chlorides and cellulose solutions. Used widely in the rayon, dye
and paper making industries. Carbon content 0.04% maximum.
Shield Bright 316L is designed primarily for all position. Both pure CO2 or mixed gas
(75% Argon/25% CO2) can be used.

TYPICAL APPLICATION
Shield-Bright 317L is an all position flux cored wire recommended for welding type
317 stainless steel to give a maximum of 0.04% carbon in the weld deposit. The
higher molybdenum content, as compared to type 316L, further reduces susceptibility
to pitting corrosion. Used in the pulp and paper industry and in other severe corrosion
applications involving sulfuric and sulfurous acids and their salts.
Shield Bright 317L is designed primarily for all position. Both pure CO2 or mixed gas
(75% Argon/25% CO2) can be used.
