Updates!
Randy Gresczyk, American Indian Home School Liaison, will be at Armstrong
on Thursdays! If you have any students that need to see him - Thursday will
be the day, I can help them as well. Come visit us in room C102!!
American Indian Fall Gathering: Monday September 28th 6-8pm, AHS
Cafeteria. The annual Title VII public hearing event is an opportunity for our
community, families, students, and Robbinsdale Area Schools to understand
the Indian Education program and provide feedback on the education of RAS
American Indian students.
Eid al-Adha, (also called the Feast of Sacrifice)- is the second of two
religious holidays celebrated by Muslims worldwide each year. Beginning
Thursday September 24, 2015 though this weekend is Eid al-Adha for our
Muslim students & families. It honors the willingness of Abraham (Ibrahim)
to sacrifice his son, as an act of submission to God's command, before God
then intervened on his behalf.
This information is note worthy as there may be students absent from school
during this time of celebration, and it also provides an opportunity for staff
to open dialogue(s) to increase student(s) voice culturally.

"I CAN" OF THE WEEK

I can encourage my students to think critically and ask critical questions about all
of the information they receive, including that which they receive from me.
