HABIB EDUCATION TRUST FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMMEHabib Education Trust Financial Assistance Programme AIMS & OBJECTIVES Habib Education Trust Financial Assistance Programme is a window of opportunity for scholars to pursue college and higher education in recognized institutions of Pakistan. The programme is specially focused on students having good scholastic record, all-round abilities and an aptitude for higher learning. It offers financial assistance on grant-cum-loan basis. The extent of assistance depends on a detailed financial assessment of the student, his/her academic and all-round record, field of study and is subject to the availability of funds in a given year. HET’s Financial Assistance Programme is always on a cost sharing basis with the scholar. WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY? e For under-graduate college education, it is for students who have completed Matriculation or O-levels. ¢ For post-graduate and professional education, students who have done Pre-professional or graduation programme securing good marks in their Board/University examination. ¢ Must have obtained admission to a recognized College or University. WHAT DOES THE ASSISTANCE COVER? Habib Education Trust Financial Assistance Programme’s grant/loan covers admission, tuition and examination fee; text books and project material expenses depending upon need. The Financial Assistance Programme would not normally meet private tuition expenses Financial Assistance does not include boarding and lodging expenses in private lodging or institution’s hostel. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED ALONG WITH THE APPLICATION: Photocopies of all public examination results Photocopies of all transcripts/certificates of the institutions attended Documentary evidence of extra-curricular and sports achievements Salary certificates of both parents/guardian and evidence of other incomes Copies of last paid utility bills House rent receipt{property tax documents if house is self-owned Copy of college/university prospectus where the student has been admitted Evidence of admission assured Photocopies of parent’s/applicant’s CNIC and student's “B’ form, if under 18 years of age eee eeee WHAT THE APPLICANT MUST DO ON SECURING GRANT/LOAN Keep the Trust constantly apprised about the academic progress and inform the Trust about any change in address/telephone number/email address Maintain high level of academic achievement and moral values throughout the academic term, otherwise the student may risk withdrawal of grant/loan The support may be withdrawn in case of unsatisfactory performance or improper behaviour in the college/university. DISBURSEMENT OF LOAN Education Grant/Loan will be disbursed either directly to the Institution or paid by cheque into the account of the applicant or parent/guardian, No cash payments will be made. Therefore it is essential that the applicants maintain a bank account in their name. It will be given on semester/bi-annual or annual basis as per the Institute’s requirement and our financial means. Renewal will depend on continuous good performance. REPAYMENT OF LOAN To commence within one year of completion of education and full repayment must be made within 36 months of the completion of the study programme. In case the student gives up study without completion of programme the loan will become payable immediately and/or adjusted against collateral given.GUARANTORS Parents/Guardians/Guarantors of the scholar will undertake to make good the payment in case the student fails to do so within the specified time.
