A Note from Mrs.

Slover
National School
Counselors Week February 2nd-6th!
Bingham Elementary
will be celebrating National School counselors week in a very
spirited way! Each day
of the week will be
themed around different things school counselors do to support the
social/emotional, academic, and career needs
of all students.
Students are encouraged to dress up and
have fun as we celebrate
National School counselors Week!

Why do Elementary
Schools need Counselors? Elementary
school years set the tone
for developing the
knowledge, attitudes
and skills necessary for
children to become
healthy, competent and
confident learners.
Through a comprehensive school counseling
program, school counselors work as a team
with the school staff,
parent and the community to create a caring
climate and atmos-

phere. By providing
education, prevention,
early identification and
intervention, school
counselors can help all
children achieve academic success.
