Carry out the Analysis using Minitab software.

1 Fit aMultiple linear regressionmodel for the given datawith intercept

and without the intercept, and test for multicolinearity. If there is
multicolinearity remove the variables one by one as we did in the
practical class. Select the models without multicolinearity.
2 For the selected models include all the interaction terms and fit the
regression models

Check for the significance of the parameters using the t-test.

4 Test for the overall significance of the fitted model(s) using F-test in
ANOVA table.
5 Comment on the significance of the fitted model and also on R2. Select
the best model(s) .
6 Carry out the residual analysis (Use graphical methods and tests) for
the selected model(s) and comment.
7 Copy the necessary parts from the output and make a word file and
comment about your findings for each part and write down your
conclusions.
6. Use the best fitted model to predict Y from the Validation data set.
Draw the graphs of predicted Y and the observed Y data from the
validation data set in one plot with different colours. Also calculate R 2
for the validation data set.
8. Write down a brief discussion about the analysis and conclusions and
submit.
