In the spring 2012 we will be holding our “th annual Walk like MADD to raise much needed funds. We are asking local businesses to donate gift certificates or merchandise that can be used as an incentive for walkers to raise money for MADD, silent auction items, or for use to purchase/provide much needed supplies for wall day such as water, refreshments, ete. We hope we can count on your support again this year. Your business name ‘wil be included in out Walk event guide distributed the day ofthe walk tothe hundreds of walkers who attend as our way of saying “thank you” and acknowledging your support of MADD’ mission MADD Michigan was founded because drunk driving was maiming and killing our families, and in even greater numbers our children, We ae all terrified of receiving that cal in the middle ofthe night or the police officer at the door to tells something tragic has happened to someone we love. Someone is killed inan aleohol-rlated crash every 33 minutes in this country. That's alot of phone cals that instantly can cause families lives to take a rage painful turn. MADD takes pride in knowing thousands of lives have been saved because of our efforts aerss the country. But, everything we have accomplished, every life \ve have saved means nothing othe family wo will lose a loved one during the 33 minutes it takes me to write this letter | understand that you ae probably overwhelmed with requests from the public; but, if itis possible for you to honor this request, you willbe helping us continue the fight against drunk driving-~- and you will ‘surely help save precious lives.
