Topic: Health Care Reform
1. Why did you choose this topic?
The reason I chose this topic because it is commonly discussed about in my household. It
has clearly been a huge impact in America that has begun to affect everyone. As a young
adult I think this topic would be a great opportunity for me to inform myself about health
care laws.
2. How do you think this topic will help you-as well as your peers-develop a better
awareness of it?
As a young adult myself as well as my peers, we are now facing real world issues that we
will have to deal with on our own, one of them being health care insurance. Researching
this topic will be a great learning opportunity and I will be able to share the information I
find with my peers which will be useful to all of us in due time.
3. How will researching this topic contribute to your growth as a learner, student, and
participant in various discourse communities?
Researching this topic will contribute to my growth as a learner and student because I
will be introducing myself to a topic that I have never focused on independently. This
topic will have me involved in the American discourse community because I will have to
comply with health care laws and it is involving me to become an active member of
society.
