Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are currently entering our second week of school and I am pleased to say Ive
enjoyed getting to know each and every student. During the first week of our
kindergarten class I allowed them to compose a set of rules/expectations that will help
lead them to success within our classroom.
These expectations include:
Sitting crisscross applesauce
Having hands be still in our lap
Opening up our listening ears
Having our eyes watch the speaker
Having quiet mouths
To help emphasize the importance of appropriate behavior in class, I have
implemented a behavior chart. The behavior chart is hanging up directly next to our class
expectations. Each student has received a clip with their name on it and has the
opportunity to clip up or clip down in correlation to their behavior throughout the day.
Positive behavior results in a clip up and vice versa, negative behavior results in a clip
down. To stress the importance of behavior even more we have a teacher vs. student
tally system. I receive points whenever the class as a whole is misbehaving and they can
correctly guide your childs behavior and lead them to success. If you have any questions
regarding my class systems please feel free to contact me. I look forward to watching
your child grow and reach new levels of academic and social skills!
Sincerely,
Ms. Conidi
