EPA Environmental Specialist David Wallis issues site visit report regarding Pine View Estates' sewer on 12/28/10.
The report recommendations included:
1. analyzing discharge from leachfield A1, "which is approaching maximum design capacity" (page 3)
2. sending samples to an additional laboratory, since the current lab found results "which typically does not occur in domestic wastewater," leading Mr. Wallis to believe the lab had "typos or mathematical errors" (page 3)
3. having flow meters installed or fixing access to flow meters that were not able to be accessed (page 4)
4. requiring all homeowners to pump their individual septic tanks (page 5)
5. pumping sludge from the settling tank at treatment plant B when sludge reaches 25 % capacity (page 5)
6. monitoring for biological treatment and nitrification at leachfield B (page 5)
7. a notation that the wrong treatment units were instlaled, and that the current Microfast units do not remove nitrogen as the original Nitrifast units were supposed to (page 6)
