Step 1: You will be placed in a group and assigned one of the following

Step 2: Research! Split up the work equally among group members


and find out about the following:
Brief history of the party
Party leader
Candidate in our riding (if
applicable)
Platform on Healthcare
Platform on Foreign Policy
Platform on Abortion
Platform on Assisted Suicide
Platform on the Legalization of
Marijuana

Platform on Aboriginal issues


Platform on Senate Reform
Platform on Tax
Platform on Environmental Issues
(such as carbon tax)
Platform on Accommodating
Religious Minorities
Etcetera (include any other
interesting information on
platforms)

Make sure to cite all sources!


CBC.ca, votecompass.cbc.ca, & the websites for each political party are
great places to find information.

Step 3: Combine your information to create a poster. Your poster


should inform students about the platform of your assigned party so
they can make an informed decision on Student Vote Day.

Symbolism
Spacing

Visual Impact
Charts & Graphs
Images

Organization &
subheadings

Step 4: Present your poster to the class.

Remember to view the attached rubric for information on how you will
be assessed. (Coverage of the topic is worth 8 marks)
