October Newsletter

Eid Mubarak !!
We hope everyone enjoyed their Eid Holiday spent with their loved ones.
This October, students have worked in their classrooms to learn about Punctuality and Hajj. The
grade 7 class prepared a display in the hallway to share what they learned.

Important dates
Remedial Classes: Remedial classes will begin this month for students who require extra help.
Please have forms signed and returned as soon as possible.
Curriculum Night: Thank you to all the parents who came in to speak with the teachers. We
hope you gained insight and information on what they will be learning throughout the year. If
you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at the school or send us an
email, and we will schedule an appointment to meet with you.

Class work
Language: This month students are focusing on reading elements, punctuation and grammar.
Math: Students will be focusing on Ratios and Rates and they will start geometry. Students will
be constructing robots using geometric nets.
Science: Students will be learning about interactions in the environment.
They will learn about food chains, food webs and endangered species.
Students will complete a project on biotic and abiotic factors, and create a
power point presentation on an endangered species of their choice.
Geography: Students will be focusing on movement, location, the
environment and regions. Students will be finishing up their landmarks
and explore how humans affect animal habitats and lifestyles.
