Unit summary
This unit we talks a lot about conservation and ecology. We read an article that talks how
children can figure out what ads represent. It talks about how things might seem random but they
represent things. The article talked about the different ads that take a bunch of different objects
that were brought together to show a bigger picture. For our studios this week we took a bird
eyes view of a place that seemed interesting to us and we add and took away things to make it
our own. We also took over produced objects to make a statement piece.
I enjoyed this unit a lot. Even though I found some of it difficult because Im not super
creative I still enjoyed this unit. I liked getting to think about how things in a different view and
trying to come up with creative art pieces. I liked the artist we saw where we had to figure out
the meaning of his artwork. I liked how we talked about the environment and what humans are
doing to the world. I liked making a statement piece using items that have been thrown out a lot
and forgotten about and getting to work with someone was helpful. It was fun getting to see other
peoples ideas and what they were coming up with.
