Direct Drive systems consist of having one motor for each motive
devices on robots. As motor us directly connected there is no
energy transfer. No system.
A direct drive mechanism is one that takes the power coming from
a motor without any reductions.
Denoting or relating to mechanical parts driven directly by a motor,
without a belt or other device to transmit power.
Example: Gear Box.

Belt D rive
A mechanism in which power is transmitted by a continuous flexible
belt.
Belt Drives work by using a series of wheels and grooves among
the edges. Belts fit into the groove and friction turns the belt when
the pulley is rotated. Rotated some belts have teeth that fit into
lateral grooves in the wheel.
A series of wheels are connected to the belt drive one in which is
connected to the axle and the other wheel is connected to the drive
motor.

Chain D rives

A mechanism in which power is transmitted from an engine, typically to

the wheels of a vehicle or a boat's propeller, by means of a moving
endless chain.
Chain Drives are some that similar to a belt drive system. Very similar as
to a Belt Drive the Chain drive is different due to the use of a sprocket
(toothed wheel) instead of using a grooved wheel and the use of chain
instead of a belt
advantage results from the ratio of the different diameters or the ratio of
the different numbers of teeth on the sprockets.

A worm drive is a gear arrangement in which a worm (which is a
gear in the form of a screw) meshes with a worm gear (which is
similar in appearance to a spur gear). The two elements are also
called the worm screw and worm wheel.
Uses teethed wheels, but direct connection between the wheels
occurs. The mechanical advantage is calculated from the ratio of
the different numbers of teeth on the gears.
