STATEMENT
Financial Statement
(or financial report) is a formal record of the
financial activities and position of a business,
person, or other entity. Financial statements should
be understandable, relevant, reliable and
comparable. Reported assets, liabilities, equity,
income and expenses are directly related to an
organization's financial position.
Balance Sheet
A balance sheet is a statement of the assets,
liabilities, and capital of a business or other
organization at a particular point in time, detailing
the balance of income and expenditure over the
preceding period.
Income Statement
The income statement presents the financial results
of a business for a stated period of time. The income
statement is an essential part of the financial
statements that an organization releases. The other
parts of the financial statements are the balance
sheet and statement of cash flows.
The income statement may be presented by itself on
a single page, or it may be combined with other
comprehensive income information. In the latter
case, the report format is called a statement of
comprehensive income.
