At its meeting on September 30, October 1 and 2, 2015, City Council adopted Motion MM9.49
headed "Corporate Facilities Display Policy".

By adopting this motion City Council authorized/directed the Chief Corporate Officer ("CCO")
to immediately remove all signs from City Hall exterior windows.
I am therefore requesting that City elected officials and City staff comply with City Council's
decision by ensuring that all City Hall exterior windows are clear of signs and displays.
City Hall serves as the official symbol of the City of Toronto and represents all Torontonians.
City Council's decision will ensure that the building's exterior windows reflect a level of
professional standards appropriate for the public face of municipal government.
Thank you for removing any signs or displays currently located in/on City Hall exterior
windows.
