The exbibyte is a multiple of the unit byte for digital information. It is a member of the
set of units with binary prexes dened by the International Electrotechnical
Commission (IEC). Its unit symbol is EiB.

The prex exbi (symbol Ei) represents multiplication by 1024 , therefore:

The exbibyte is closely related to the exabyte (EB), the corresponding unit in the

decimal system of multiples, which is dened as 10 bytes =
