SKILLS

Learners should be able to draw and modelling the different types of structures.
Taking into consideration the relation of measurements in reality and on
papers/ sheets which shall be used for graphics. They shall be able to draw in
grid lines showing the two and three dimensional, in different drawings .They
shall communicate the different part of structures in different shades.
Information on what people like or dislike about current products is important
for them to be able to know what is their starting point on research and
analysing of products.

KNOWLEDGE

Learners shall have knowledge of types of structures ,that is how do they differ .
The function of different structures .Which structures are man made and
natural, how are they built and the different material used to built them,
the tools for different structures and precaution measures taken in using
different tools. The aesthetic of structures
Different forces act on structures: forces like compression, tension, torsion and
shearing. Different load acts on structures: loads like static and dynamic.

VALUE

Learners shall be able to identify the reinforcement used or shall have been
used for different structures. They Learners should develop a clear
understanding, knowledge and appreciation of different types of structure and
materials used in constructing the structures. They should be curious on how
structure are built.

ATTITUDE: Learners should be eager to know what type of structure they


come across it. Be focused in their daily life and develop a positive caring for
the building of structures and how these structures can affect people’s life and
the environment impact they might cause.
