Introduce:
Introduce the new sound of the week PL. Say the sound and explain that the sound is made up of the letters
P and L. Write the sound the board in a cloud!
Today we will use the ipads with a partner, I will chose the partners, and type up as many PL words as we
can think of! You are all word researchers and I want you to try and think of lots and lots of words and write
them down so we can share with the group.
Investigate:
Allow the students 15-20 minutes to investigate PL words on the ipads. Gather the students back and ask
them to create a circle. Ask them to call out some of the words they thought of. Write them on the whiteboard
around the clouded PL in the centre.
Play the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgxR4_kqi6E
Ask the students if there were any words in the video that were not on their lists.
