To Whom It May Concern,

10/03/2015

Mickayla Kliese undertook her Embedded Professional Learning placement at Mackay State
High School in 2015. During this time Mickayla volunteered to participate in the week-long
Year 8 Leadership camp, as a teacher supervisor at Fairbairn Dam in Emerald. Here, she
contributed to the team by being a dependable, responsible member of staff, who
supported and cared for the needs of the students.
Mickayla was a great asset to the camp environment; always positive and willing to assist
with any task. She encouraged student participation in all activities and contributed to these
by actively participating herself. Mickayla has demonstrated independence in managing
challenging behaviour outside the regular classroom environment and maintained student
safety. She effectively engaged with all members of staff building a repour with both the
students and the Year 11 Buddies. She communicated with parents and caregivers before
and after we left for camp, ensuring they knew who she was and the role she plays in the
Mackay State High School community. It was a pleasure to have Mickayla join us on camp
and I believe she will be a successful educator in her future endeavours.
Sincerely,

KBlakey
