How to create a push button library

There are three main steps to create any library:


A) Symbol : for drawing the schematic
B) Package: for the board
C) Device : to relate between schematic and the board

A) Schematic:
1) File > new > library
2) Click on symbol

3) type push at new bar > ok > yes(create a new symbol).

3) At the left list click on pin and draw 2 pins


Note: you should draw the pins around the origin point

4)pick info and click on the left pin and change the following:

4) Do the same for the S2


5) Using wire draw a T symbol to complete the schematic (just an indication for the push
button).

6) from the left list pick T type : >NAME ok


7) pick info click on NAMEchange the layer to :

8) you completed the schematic

B) Board:
1)click on package

2)type : push okyes

3) from the left list pick Pad draw two pads and make the space between them about 4
squares change the grid to mm and dont change that number 1.27.

4) pick info click on left pad change the following:

5) do the same for P2


6)using wire draw a square and using a circle wire draw a circle

7) at the bottom click on description and write:

9) step B completed

C) Device:
1) pick device from the top bar type: PUSH ok yes

2) from left list pick add pick PUSH put the scheme
3) at the top type: package and press enter pick push ok

4) double click on !

5)choose s1 & p1 connect then s2 & p2 connect ok

6)click on description and type: switch two terminals

7)click on prefix and type s

8) save
